workshops on adolescence awareness for the YUVAAN COHORT at the Ranjangaon.
As part of our long-term engagement with the enrolled children, day-long workshops on adolescence awareness for the YUVAAN COHORT were conducted on June 13th and 14th, 2024, at the Ranjangaon Mahaganapati Temple Hall. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Anuradha Khadilkar, Deputy Director of HCJMRI, on June 13th, 2024. A total of 224 YUVAAN COHORT girls from 14 villages participated, accompanied by their respective Village Representatives. Dr. Khadilkar explained the study and provided guidance on the adolescent phase of life. The HCJMRI team conducted a quiz show, and prizes were distributed to the participants.

On June 14th, 180 YUVAAN COHORT boys from the same 14 villages, along with their Village Representatives, took part in the workshop. MUSKAAN resource persons led interactive sessions separately for girls and boys, focusing on adolescence awareness through puppet shows and PowerPoint presentations. Both days featured magic shows for the children. Additionally, the girls and boys performed cultural acts, such as dances and songs, enthusiastically.
Mrs. Swati Pachundkar, President of the Ranjangaon Mahaganapati Temple Trust, visited the workshop on the second day and interacted with the boys. She also discussed future health camp collaborations with Sandhya Mam and Dr. Chidvilas. Other notable visitors on the second day included Prof. Anil Shinde, retired Principal of Vidyadham Kanhur Mesai School, who gave a speech on personality development, and Mr. Sampatrao Dandvate, a retired District Officer. Mrs. Shruti Jindal, Head of Western India Forging, one of the funders of the YUVAAN COHORT, also attended. Dr. Dipali and Dr. Chidvilas from HCJMRI engaged with the children during the workshops.
All participants were provided with pick-up and drop-off services, and breakfast and lunch were organized at the venue. Each participant received gifts, and all the children enjoyed the workshops thoroughly.

The HCJMRI Ranjangaon team worked tirelessly to ensure the success of these workshops, with significant support from the Pune team and all HCJMRI drivers. We extend our gratitude to the Ranjangaon Mahaganapati Temple Trust for providing the hall and organizing the lunches over the two days. The success of these workshops is the result of the collective efforts of many, and we are deeply thankful to everyone involved, including those whose contributions may not be specifically mentioned here.
